Fabrication and installation
Countertop Replacement in Macomb County, MI
We take out the old tops, check and level the cabinets underneath, and install new stone that sits flat and stays that way.
Countertop Replacement from Stone Proz
Most of our jobs are replacements. You keep your cabinets, we remove the old laminate, tile or stone, and new countertops go in on top.
The part people do not see matters most. When the old tops come off, we check every cabinet for level. One reviewer described John finding an uneven base under the old counters and leveling and reinforcing it before the new quartz went in. That is standard on our jobs.
What's Included
- Removal and haul-away of old countertops
- Cabinets checked and leveled before install
- Base reinforced where needed
- Works with your existing cabinets
- Granite, quartz, quartzite or marble
Pick Your Stone
Granite, quartz, quartzite and marble each have a place. Here is the short version:
- Granite: Natural stone, every slab one of a kind. Handles heat and daily wear.
- Quartz: Engineered stone. Non-porous, stain resistant, no sealing needed.
- Quartzite: The look of marble with the toughness of natural quartz rock.
- Marble: Classic veining for vanities, islands and baking stations.
Edges, Sinks and Cutouts
Common edge profiles include eased, beveled, bullnose and ogee. We cut undermount, top-mount and apron-front sink openings, faucet holes and cooktop cutouts to your fixtures, and we plan seams with you during the measure.

Questions
Countertop Replacement FAQs
Can you replace countertops without new cabinets?
Yes. Most replacements keep the existing cabinets as long as they are sound.

We remove them as part of the job. Ask about haul-away details during the estimate.
Will my backsplash be damaged?
Removing old tops can affect an existing backsplash. We look at it during the measure and tell you what to expect.
